What is Medicare?
Medicare is a federal health insurance program for people over 65 or disabled for 24 months. All people legally living in the United States who have worked at least 40 quarters and are 65 or older qualify for Medicare program.
Original Medicare consists of two programs, Medicare Part A and Part B who partially cover costs of inpatient and outpatient care. For that reason, you should add additional plans to your Original Medicare:
– plans that pay or minimize the cost of services not covered or not paid in full by Original Medicare (Supplements or Medicare Advantage);
– drug plans (Part D);
– dental, vision, hearing plans.
